What we collect: JumpLink allows you to create custom URL mappings. These mappings are stored locally on your device and, if you’re signed in to Chrome, are synced across your devices using Chrome’s chrome.storage.sync.
How we collect it: The URL mappings are created and managed directly by you through the extension’s interface.
JumpLink uses the URL mappings you create to redirect you to the corresponding long URLs when you use the short URL in the Chrome omnibox or as a keyword.
The mappings you create are stored locally in your Chrome browser and are synced across devices if Chrome sync is enabled. This allows you to access your mappings from any device where you are signed in to Chrome.
We do not share your data: JumpLink does not transmit your URL mappings or any other data to external servers or third parties. All data remains within your browser and synced devices.
Why we need it: The storage permission allows JumpLink to save your custom URL mappings and sync them across your devices. This ensures that your shortcuts are available wherever you use Chrome.
You can view, edit, or delete your URL mappings at any time through the extension’s options page.
If you decide you no longer wish to use JumpLink, you can uninstall the extension from Chrome, which will also remove all data associated with it from your device.
We take security seriously and implement appropriate measures to protect your data within the scope of the Chrome extension. However, please note that the security of your data also depends on you keeping your Chrome account secure.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be reflected in the "Effective Date" at the top of this document. We encourage you to review this policy periodically.
